I went in today to return items I purchased online and to shop for some shorts for the sale they had going on. The whole shorts plan didnt work out as my size wasnt in stock, however, one of the shirts I was returning because it was the wrong size, they had in the right size for me. So I thought ok, not a total loss, Ill exchange the one top and return the other few items. Well seeing as I paid with PayPal, its a whole ordeal to return in the store. They have to mail it back to the warehouse and you wait about 10 days for the refund. Ok, fine. Side note- for such an established business Id think there has to be a more efficient way of doing this. But anyhow... I asked if I could exchange the one size for another and the woman helping me gave me a response in a somewhat irritated tone- well we cant exchange because you paid with PayPal. We have to return this one. To which I say- well thats dumb. Because it is. And then she says- but I can sell you this one for the same price you paid for the other one. THAT IS WHAT THE INITIAL RESPONSE SHOULDVE INCLUDED, and in a friendly tone! So as she is ringing up the new one I can see on my screen that is $49.95. To which I said- what did I pay for the other one. This lady literally stopped, paused, looked at me and said- well if you give me a minute I will have it for you. And looked at me for like 2 seconds longer than she should have. It took everything in me not to jump down her throat. I stopped, paused, gave her the Im not the one look and smirked and said- well this is going to be fun. To which she didnt respond nor look at me. We continued the transaction. In order to return items you purchased with PayPal, which I will never do again at LB, they have to cut your invoice in half, write your information down on the blank bottom half, hand write all the SKU #s and then generate a shipping label. I even offered to help write my info to which she said- I wrote it once, Ill do the rest later. Now I knew I was going to let her manager know how rude she was once we were finished, she did not. So when she opened the 3 ring binder that usually has return shipping labels in it but it did not, she then AGAIN in an irritated tone asked me if she could call me with my tracking # later or if I wanted to wait for her to do it now. I said- Ill wait. So she is all sighing and being dramatic while she gets the tracking #, she writes it down, I cant read the 1st three letters/numbers so I asked what they were, she told me. And as I walked away I asked who her manager was. She said- well she is, points to the woman next to her who had been friendly and helpful to me earlier, and then says- but I am a manger too. WHAT?!? Girlfriend needs a new attitude, job or both. I looked at her manager and said- she is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. And walked out. I will never step foot back in that store. I wonder how many people she is rude to?! Most people dont say anything either in those situations because they are caught off guard. Shame on her! Im curious if the rest of my return got filled out and shipped as it should have?? Hmmmm, only time will tell! 10 days for a refund. In 2019. Wow.
